Gateway to the
Bundian Way |
|
The Monaroo Bobberrer Keeping Place is located at
Jigamy Farm between Pambula and
Eden on the Princes Highway. It includes a
purpose build cultural centre with Indigenous interpretation and displays,
meeting facilities, a commercial kitchen and a large performance hall. At
the site there is also an outdoor amphitheatre and a cultural walk. |
 |
The Land and Sea Country Plan
was launched in the auditorium at the Monaroo Bobberrer Keeping Place
in April, 2011. The building also serves as offices for the Eden Local
Aboriginal Land Council and as the Gateway to the Bundian Way. |
| The Keeping
Place at Jigamy Farm is currently used for
numerous educational activities including NAIDOC week and has the
facilities to cater for large or small groups. As a gateway
it plays an important
role in developing the profile, awareness and visitation along the Bundian
Way, and vice versa. It is used as a base to coordinate the activities of
the Bundian Way and for a range of programs. |
